Lockdown Learning Week 8

It has been an action-packed week here at Smith’s Wood! The children enjoyed dressing up in their cosiest pyjamas, onesies, slippers and dressing gowns and they took part in a range of exciting activities for World Book Day. Lessons were themed around books and our love of reading with pupils at home taking part in fun quizzes with a ‘fetch’ twist. All pupils have been given the opportunity to take part in the ‘Masked Reader’ competition where they had to guess the mystery reader… Winners will be announced next week.

Reception have monitored and observed a range of mini-beasts both in and outside of the classroom focusing on ant, worms and butterflies.

Year 4 have once again been a beacon of inspiration with children taking on the role of a Viking crossing a perilous and treacherous sea to find new land.

A big thank you to everyone involved both at home and in school for all of our lockdown learning.
