School Dinners

Our in-house catering team work hard to provide healthy, balanced lunches for our pupils. It is ensured that at least 5 options per week are homemade and all of our menus meet the School Food Standards. These standards make sure that school lunches always include:

  • one or more portions of fruit and vegetables every day
  • one or more portions of starchy food, such as bread or pasta every day
  • a portion of food containing milk or dairy every day
  • a portion of meat or poultry on 3 or more days each week
  • oily fish once or more every 3 weeks

They severely restrict foods high in fat, salt and sugar, as well as low quality reformed or reconstituted foods.

Parents can decide whether their children are to have a school meal or bring a packed lunch.  School dinners are currently £2.60 per day and must be paid for in advance via ParentPay.  If you think you may be entitled to Free School Meals please complete an online application form at www.solihull.gov.uk.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can have a free school meal through the Universal Free School Meal offer. If you are unsure regarding anything please ask at the school office.
