Yesterday, our Year 5 children had the incredible opportunity to take part in a workshop surrounding coins! They looked at a variety of coins from around the world, before using their knowledge from their topic of Birmingham to design a new coin. Throughout the day, they were joined by a poet to help inspire them, as well as an inspirational artist! They looked at creating their own poems for their coins, choosing an inspirational Brummie as an image and designing this as a brand-new currency.
