More than a school

Smith's Wood Primary School Updates

From all the staff at Smith’s Wood Primary Academy, we’d like to wish you well for the upcoming weekend and hope that you are all staying safe with your families.

The support, from parents, during the school closure has been overwhelming and we would like to thank you for respecting the Government guidelines and keeping your children at home, safe with you, wherever you are able to do so.

The school will open again, next week, for the children of the identified key workers, who have been in this week and we’d like to thank those key workers for their openness and clear lines of communication in relation to when they would need the provision for their child and when they are able to keep them at home with them. This has meant that we have been able to successfully plan provision for the pupils who are in.

As we move forward, into next week, the school will be open again, from 11.45-12.15, for children to change their reading books if they wish- please come to the small hall door if you do wish to have your child’s reading book changed and a member of staff will do this for you.

In the meantime, we hope that all pupils, who attend Smith’s Wood Primary Academy are keeping safe and well and we look forward to seeing you all when we are able to open fully.
