World Book Day 2024 was a fantastic day at Smith’s Wood Primary Academy! Both pupils and staff came dressed in their comfiest clothes and PJs, ready to enjoy a wealth of book-related fun.  

The children took part in World Book Day assemblies, themed lessons (based on their favourite books), listened to a guest teacher reading and received their World Book Day tokens to spend on a book of their choice. Not only this, many pupils created incredible ‘Story Jars’ as part of this year’s competition, demonstrating their love of books. Well done to everyone who participated – all of the entries were so impressive!
